This is the first I’ve seen these lovely 19th century trade cards. They beautifully advertise “cures” for human ailments. They were so beautifully rendered they were cherished and saved in scrapbooks.

Most cardboard boxes are not acid-free and the acid in them and in the environment can easily be shared with your cards – contributing to the premature aging of your cards.
