Do you have these Boxing Style Posters? Boxing style posters are called that because the style of poster was first used to advertise boxing matches between 1920 and 1950.
100 – 200 were printed to advertise the event on telephone poles and local stores to advertise the event. When concerts started being the big events that were in the 50’s and 60’s, they were usually held at the same arenas and coliseums that the boxing matches had been held. The same printers that had printed the boxing posters were used to print the concert posters. Thus the name – “Boxing Style Posters”.
